چکیده

We present multi-color high-resolution imaging of the host galaxy dwarf Seyfert UGC 06728. As lowest-mass black hole to be described with both a direct mass constraint and spin constraint, 06728 is an important source for comparison evolutionary models, yet little known about galaxy. Using Hubble Space Telescope in optical near-infrared, we find that barred lenticular (SB0) prominent ansae at ends bar. cleanly separated AGN from resolved two-dimensional image decompositions, thus allowing accurate surface brightness profiles derived all filters outer edge way into nucleus. Based on sample 51 globular cluster candidates identified images, luminosity function predicts distance UCG $32.5\pm3.5$ Mpc. Combining photometry estimate, derive starlight-corrected luminosity, absolute magnitude galaxy, stellar $\log M_{\star}/M_{\odot}=9.9\pm0.2$.

Extended Emission by Dust in the Dwarf Galaxy Ugc 10445

We present Spitzer Space Telescope images of the isolated dwarf galaxy UGC 10445. The galaxy is detected at all photometric bands (3.6-160 µm) as well as in the Multiband Imaging Photometer for Spitzer (MIPS) spectral energy distribution mode (55-95 µm). We derive a star formation rate of 0.25 M ⊙ yr −1 based on Hα and infrared flux densities. There is over 10 6 M ⊙ of cold dust (T ∼ 18 K) in t...

The Dwarf Irregular Galaxy UGC 7636 Exposed: Stripping at Work in the Virgo Cluster.

We present the results of optical spectroscopy of a newly discovered H ii region residing in the H i gas cloud located between the dwarf irregular galaxy UGC 7636 and the giant elliptical galaxy NGC 4472 in the Virgo Cluster. By comparing UGC 7636 with dwarf irregular galaxies in the field, we show that the H i cloud must have originated from UGC 7636 because (1) the oxygen abundance of the clo...

UGC 7069 : The largest ring galaxy

We find that UGC 7069 is the largest ring galaxy known to date. In this Letter, we present a multiwavelength study of this galaxy (combining radio, 2MASS, optical and ultraviolet data). The ring of UGC 7069, whose diameter measures ∼ 115 kpc, is also warped at its edges. The nucleus appears double-peaked and hosts a possible LINER. The ultraviolet data indicate a strong blue colour and suggest ...

ROSAT observations of the dwarf starforming galaxy Holmberg II ( UGC 4305 )

We present ROSAT PSPC and HRI observations of the dwarf irregular galaxy Holm-berg II (UGC4305). This is one of the most luminous dwarf galaxies (L x ∼ 10 40 erg s −1) detected in the ROSAT All-Sky Survey. The X-ray emission comes from a single unresolved point source, coincident with a large HII region which emits intense radio emission. The source is variable on both year and day timescales, ...

Distance , structure and bright stellar content of the dwarf irregular galaxy UGC 685

B and R CCD images and J NICMOS3 frames taken with the Calar Alto 3.5m telescope of the dwarf irregular galaxy UGC 685 are presented. The brightest part of the stellar population is resolved in B and R, very few also in J. The stellar color-magnitude diagram is discussed. An estimate of the distance to UGC 685 of 5.5 Mpc is derived based on the brightest blue supergiant stars. Most of the resol...
